Uzbekistan has devised the success formula when undertaking reforms, Timur Ishmetov, first deputy chairman of the Central Bank said at the International Financial and Banking Forum in Tashkent on Thursday.
He noted that during the last 2.5 years Uzbekistan had been undertaking large-scale reforms in all sectors. “Albeit multisector, the reforms share the common spirit, and are aimed at creating decent living conditions for the people of Uzbekistan,” he said.
“We do realize that the real hardships are still ahead of us. But that will not stop us. We have gained confidence from every experience. It will be right to say that we have devised the right success formula, ” he underscored.
Firstly, according to him, the existence of the political will to carry out reforms, as well as "allowing the experts of their respective areas to do their job, to invest their knowledge and skills for the development of the country." Ishmetov highlighted the cooperation with international financial institutions as an important success.
