President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed decree yesterday introducing 30-day visa-free regime for the nationals of UAE starting from March 20, 2019.
Multiple-entry visas for up to one year for the UAE citizens visiting Uzbekistan for business purposes will be issued in the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan within three business days. While, the requirement to send invitation to the Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry has been abolished.
As the decree noted, the step is aimed at enhancing political, trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as creating a favorable investment climate and boosting Uzbekistan’s tourist potential.
As reported earlier the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the United Arab Emirates on March 25, the UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori announced at the third meeting of the Uzbekistan-UAE Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation Tuesday.
