Senator Mirabror Usmanov has been hospitalized at the Ezgu Niyat Uzbek-German Clinic in Tashkent. He is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit.
He might have gone into coma due to complication of bronchial asthma.
The senator was present in the 18th plenary meeting of the Senate on February 28.
Mirabror Usmanov, 71, has been a member of the Senate since 2005. In 2006–2017 he was in charge of the Uzbekistan Football Federation, in 2013–2017 - the National Olympic Committee.
