The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution ordering the creation of “green spaces” across the country, the Ministry of Justice said.
The resolution instructs to create “green spaces” of at least 10 hectares in each district center and at least 15 hectares in Nukus and provincial centers, as well as in Tashkent’s Sergeli district.
Green space designs must include pedestrian and cycle paths and should be developed within two weeks.
150.24 million decorative and fruit trees will be planted in spring of 2019. More than 5.58 million seedlings were planted in the last fall.
