Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today hosted the visiting Afghanistan delegation, headed by President’s National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib.
The parties reportedly discussed issues related to the launch of the peace process in Afghanistan and exchanged views on regional problems.
The minister Kamilov confirmed that Afghanistan remains one of the important areas of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and the Uzbek authorities intend to continue to provide all possible assistance in restoring its economic infrastructure.
Adviser Hamdullah Mohib noted that the participation of the Uzbek side in the implementation of transport, energy, education for youth projects that are of strategic importance for Afghanistan and its people are an integral part and an important condition for stabilizing Afghanistan and its inclusion in regional economic structure.
The parties also addressed other issues of the Uzbek-Afghan agenda.
