The Senate of Uzbekistan passed the Bill Ratifying the Uzbek-Russian Intergovernmental Agreement on Mutual Use of Military Airspaces of the Two Countries Thursday.

As noted by Senator Valery Tyan (former chief of Uzbekistan Airways), the document provides for the easing the procedure for passage of military aircrafts through the airspace of the other country, cuts the flight time and the number of licensing procedures. “The agreement is beneficial primarily to Uzbekistan,” said the senator. “The document eases deliveries of military goods and cuts the time for decision-making on organizational matters.”

On October 12, 2018, in Tashkent, the ministers of defense of both countries signed the Agreement on the Use of the Airspace of the Two Countries by Military Aircrafts.
