On December 28, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Başar Şen, who presented a copy of credentials to Minister Kamilov, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The sides praised the current constructive and open relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey which are based on friendship and partnership cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas.
The sides also discussed the concrete measures towards implementation of the reached agreements following the meeting between the Heads of States held in warm and cordial atmosphere on 17-18 November 2016 in Samarkand.
The sides also exchanged views on the dates and content of upcoming bilateral contacts, including political consultations between the Foreign Ministries.
