Uzbek Deputy PM Alisher Sultanov met with executives of SOCAR and BP to outline further areas for advancing cooperation, Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.
The company said that partnership ties with SOCAR and BP is the priority for Uzbekistan’s oil and gas industry. Among the issues discussed was attracting investment without the participation of third parties.
SOCAR and BP were urged to consider the possibility of joint geological exploration of the Aralomor, Sam-Kosbulak and Baiterek investment blocks in the Ustyurt region.
The above foreign companies pointed to the need for seismic and geophysical work following the study of the materials provided on these investment blocks.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in the designated areas.
