On the second day of the official visit to Germany, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Munich and met with the Minister President of Bavaria, Markus Söder.
The head of our state signed the book of honorable guests.
Bavaria is one of the Germany’s most economically developed lands, with GDP of about 600 billion euros. The half of Germany’s aircraft and aerospace equipment is produced here, as well as 43 % of textiles, 27 % of electronics, 18 % of machinery, 12 % of metallurgy products.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Uzbek President congratulated Marcus Söder on his election as chairman of the Christian-Social Union of Germany.
The parties reportedly discussed the prospects for further advancing of bilateral cooperation, including in the trade and economic fields.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the fruitful negotiations with the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Chairman of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble, during which they reached a full understanding and support for the proposed joint projects.
Markus Söder welcoming Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the agreements reached by the parties would serve the interests of the two countries, and that fruitful and mutually beneficial partnership ties in trade and economy are one of the priorities of bilateral cooperation.
The sides expressed interest in deepening trade, economic and investment partnerships, wider introduction of advanced German technologies in various sectors of the Uzbek economy and discussed the prospects of creating in Uzbekistan of high-tech joint ventures, improving the transport-logistics and tourism infrastructure, expanding cooperation in trade and project co-financing.
The President Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the full support provided to the projects and initiatives of the German businesses in Uzbekistan and noted his interest in full-scale and mutually beneficial business ties with Uzbekistan.
The President presented the Prime Minister of Bavaria with a book-album about the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in German museums.
