Confucius Park and a monument to the Chinese thinker will be erected in Samarkand, the Xalq So’zi newspaper reported.
According to the foreman of the Qurilish Materiallari Combine Rakhim Muminov, the park’s architectural design was performed in the classical Chinese traditions. Symbolic gates were created from granite by Chinese specialists, as well as classical Chinese gazebos with tiled roofs have been erected along the park’s perimeter, with large vases and floor lamps to be placed in the park.
The central figure of the park will be the bronze monument to Confucius. Behind the sculpture there is an artistic mural with historical plots, made by Samarkand painters.
Paving of the square, laying of paving stones and installation of bridges over small canals is made using granite and marble.
