Nationals of 109 countries can get a residence permit in Uzbekistan when they purchase real estate. This was stated in the President's Additional Measures for Swift Development of Tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan Decree of January 5.
The right for residence permit is granted when purchasing real estate:
- worth at least 400 thousand US dollars in Tashkent city and the Tashkent province in ;
- worth at least 200 thousand dollars in Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, Andijan, Fergana and Khorezm provinces;
- worth at least 100 thousand dollars in Karakalpakstan and other provinces.
