Medical staff in Syrdarya and Samarkand provinces took oaths, promising work honestly for the sake of the country's development.
Doctors of a hospital in Kattakurgan district of the Samarkand province also promised to work honestly.
As reported earlier, the Syrdarya province farmers took oaths of allegiance to be “loyal to their integrity, contribute to the development of the homeland and not to do unrighteous things”. By making farmers and doctors to take oaths the local authorities are probably trying to counter the rampant corruption in Uzbekistan, however desperate and inefficient this may be.
