The Special Representative of the Uzbek President for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, in Termez, met with the visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Nasir Ahmad Andisha on Tuesday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed the implementation of agreements reached following the Uzbek-Afghan high-level meetings, as well as current issues on the bilateral agenda and exchanged views on regional problems.
Nasir Ahmad Andish thanked the Uzbek side on behalf of the Afghan leadership for contributing to the socio-economic development of Afghanistan and promptly resolving issues related to the establishment of the Consulate General of Afghanistan in Termez.
On the same day, the Uzbek and Afghan delegations attended the official opening ceremony of the consulate general of Afghanistan in Termez city.
