Former deputy interior minister Tohir Aripov has been appointed as the chief of the Tashkent province police department. Tohir Aripov was appointed deputy interior minister in May. From July 2017 to July 2018, he had served as the head of the Office of patrol and public order under the Interior Ministry.

The former Deputy prosecutor general Salom Samadov has been appointed prosecutor to the Tashkent province.

Also on October 4, during the government meeting chaired by the PM Aripov, the governor of the Tashkent province Gulyamjon Ibragimov was reprimanded for the alleged irresponsible approach and lagging behind the schedule in cotton harvest.
