In August this year, new chiefs were appointed in 34 city and district tax offices across the country, Kun.uz reported. New appointments are reportedly aimed at “bringing together modern thinking executives, who can help protect taxpayers’ rights and enforce their obligations, who can ensure collections to the State budget and expand the taxable base”.
In particular, new chiefs were appointed in tax offices in 4 districts of Tashkent city, 4 in each of Jizzakh, Samarkand and Syrdarya provinces, 3 in Namangan, Tashkent and Ferghana provinces.
