The U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) trainers and the Uzbek servicemen participated in an exchange of experience on mountanous army operations at Forish mountain training ground in Djizakh province of Uzbekistan.
"During this five-day event, six trainers on army operations of the US Army Central and fourteen servicemen of the Uzbek armed forces shared experience, enhanced interoperability on mountainous area and participated in climbing training, - the US Embassy in Tashkent said.
The exchange of experience was mainly of practical nature and included various methods of climbing and descent, the use of auxiliary mechanical devices, installation of a hinged crossing and methods of safe evacuation of victims in difficult terrain.
Both the American and Uzbek participants stated that the exchange was very informative and they were very interested in holding such events in the future.
