Urgench airport, closed since 16 July for technical reasons, will re-open on August 8, Uzbekistan Airways said in a statement.
From August 8, Urgench airport will begin to receive local flights and will operate as normal.
Moscow and St. Petersburg bound flights from Urgench airport will be resumed from August 10.
As reported earlier, Urgench airport has been closed since July 16 due to maintenance works and temperature regime. The flights to / from Urgench were temporarily moved to Nukus airport.
