The chief of the Main Office of Patrol-Guard Service and Public Safety Protection under the Ministry of Internal Affairs , Lieutenant-Colonel Dilshod Akramov was found dead on August 4 at approximately 9:10 am with signs of violent death in his office at Taras Shevchenko street in Tashkent, the Prosecutor General's Office reported. Dilshod Akramov headed this department since July.
On the same day, the Tashkent prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under intentional homicide with extreme brutalilty charge, with investigation now ongoing.
