Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today met with the visiting Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

The two ministers reportedly discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on international and regional issues.

They expressed their readiness to enhance partnerships in the political, trade-economic, investment, tourist, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

The ministers also considered the practical aspects of preparing for the upcoming a state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India in autumn.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in promoting the peace process in Afghanistan and its socio-economic development.
