On December 8-9 Tashkent hosted a meeting of the working groups of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan convened to develop proposals to deepen cooperation in all areas of water issues, a statement of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The Uzbekistan delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Shavkat Khamraev, the Kazakhstan delegation - Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Yerlan Nysanbaev.
The meeting focused on the practical aspects of cooperation between the two countries on water issues in the context of implementation of agreements reached during the recent Uzbek-Kazakh contacts at the highest level.
The next meeting of the working groups will be held in Kazakhstan.
