The newly appointed minister of public education (MPE) Sherzod Shermatov fired all heads of departments and teams of the central apparatus of the MPE in a meeting Monday, the ministry said.
This move followed the instructions of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to reshuffle the ministry staff.
At the meeting Sherzod Shermatov highlighted that the ministry’s main goal was contributing to "upbringing harmoniously developed generation", and the workers of the system should not deviate from this goal.
The minister added that the ministry's activities are based on three principles: quality, justice, transparency. "Only those who are able to follow this goal and the said principles will remain in the ministry, and to those who are not ready we will bid a farewell,” - he said.
Sherzod Shermatov was appointed minister of public education on June 20. Sarvar Babakhodjaev, Atabek Nazirov, Alisher Umarov and Alisher Sadullayev were named as his deputies.
