In the Uzbekistan presidential elections Shavkat Mirziyoyev won most of the votes - 88.61%. According to preliminary data, 15,906,724 citizens voted for the UzLiDeP candidate, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov said at a briefing on Monday.

The People's Democratic Party candidate, Hotamzhon Ketmonov won 3.73% (669,187) of votes, the Adolat Social Democratic Party candidate, Narimon Umarov - 3.46% (619,972) and the Milly Tiklanish Democratic party candidate, Otamuratov Sarvar - 2.35% (421,055) of the votes.

"I wish to underscore with great pleasure the high level of political consciousness of voters in Uzbekistan, their civic stance and sense of care for the motherland's future", - Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov added.

The voter turnout was 17,951,667 or 87.73% of the total eligible voters (20,461,805).

"The elections were held in full compliance with the Election Law and the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of the principles of openness, transparency and fairness", - the head of the CEC underscored.

There was no information about violations during the voting.

The results of the Uzbekistan presidential elections will be published in the press no later than 10 days after the election date.
