President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today spoke to the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by the phone, UzA reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Erdoğan on his birthday and underscored his efforts in the advancing of friendly relations and strategic partnership ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that in the person of the President of Uzbekistan he has found a true friend and like-minded person in what related to comprehensive strengthening of the Uzbek-Turkish cooperation.
The counterparts agreed to fully implement the agreements signed following the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey in October 2017.
The two leaders noted the importance of organizing the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation with a view to discuss preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of Turkey to Uzbekistan and implementation of agreements between the two countries.
