President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the military unit in Chirchik city in Tashkent province and the Academy of the Armed Forces in Tashkent Wednesday, ahead of the Uzbek Army Day (Jan. 14), UzA reported.
The military unit was reorganized by President’s Dec. 12 decree. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces familiarized himself with the facilities of the unit, material for combat training, supplies, and talked with the servicemen.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the Roadmap for organizing the activities of the Tashkent province military sector for 2018, the concept of patriotic education of the youth, the structure of primary organizations of the Youth Union within the Ministry of Defense, incentives for young servicemen and other plans for the future.
Mirziyoyev, having familiarized himself with uniforms and equipment of the servicemen, pointed to the need for their modernization and improvement of the procuremen system, instructed to create all conditions for exemplary servicemen and to provide them with houses and cars, and afterwards visited the military canteen.
