President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited New Uzbekistan University on the eve of Teachers and Mentors' Day and toured an exhibition on education reforms and future plans.
The president first viewed a presentation on efforts to ensure continuity of education across the country, the results achieved so far and plans for the years ahead. Pavilions on preschool, school, gifted pupils, vocational and higher education showcased reforms implemented at every stage of a child's learning, from early childhood to entering a profession.
Mirziyoyev toured the university's teaching and research facilities and was briefed on the opportunities available to students at the Future Engineers platform, the Bloomberg lab, a physics teaching lab, an engineering sciences classroom and the Apple Training Center.
The visit also included a demonstration of the IDROCK artificial intelligence cluster, laboratories for biotechnology and bioinformatics, materials science, and laser and nanotechnology, as well as the ADM mechanical engineering lab. The facilities are designed to link students' theoretical knowledge with practical classes, research and project work.
The president spoke with faculty members, students and the university's foreign partners involved in international education programs.
During the visit, he posed for a commemorative photo with active and enterprising teachers and mentors from across the country.
