As of July 1, 2026, a total of 20,502 enterprises with foreign investment are operating in Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistics Committee, among these, 4,611 operate as joint ventures, while 15,891 are funded entirely by foreign capital.

Statistical data reveals that the number of active foreign-invested companies in the country has grown 1.4 times over the last five years.

China leads the market with 6,060 enterprises utilizing Chinese capital. Russia follows with 3,454 companies, Türkiye with 2,293, Kazakhstan with 1,307, and South Korea with 725. Other notable contributors include Afghanistan (685), Azerbaijan (473), Tajikistan (455), the UAE (440), and India (426).

Earlier data from January 1, 2026, showed the total count at 18,164 enterprises, representing a 22.1% year-on-year growth. At that time, Chinese-backed businesses already accounted for the largest share with 5,044 joint and fully foreign-owned companies, seeing a staggering 50% surge over a single year, rising from 3,357 on January 1, 2025. While Russia historically maintained the top spot for foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan, China overtook Russia to claim the lead in September 2024.
