President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new IT Park in the New Namangan smart town, located in the Davlatabad district, the presidential press service reported.

A 17-story facility will be constructed on a 1.7-hectare plot of land. The project will be delivered on a turnkey basis, meaning that international partners will handle every phase of development, from architectural design and construction to full interior outfitting and equipment installation.

Spanning approximately 18,000 square meters, the multi-purpose complex will feature educational academies, export centers, coworking spaces, corporate offices, a startup accelerator, and specialized support infrastructure for foreign enterprises.

The hub is expected to house dozens of tech companies and startup studios, ultimately creating around 2,000 high-skilled jobs for the youth of Namangan. The launch of this project is projected to boost the region's annual IT services output to 500 billion soums and push tech exports to $30 million.

This enterprise is part of a broader $117 million initiative executed alongside Chinese partners to construct advanced IT Parks across six regions of Uzbekistan: New Namangan, Samarkand, Chirchik, Nurafshan, Urgench, and Navoi. "The IT Park to be built in New Namangan represents the trailblazer of this nation-wide initiative," the official statement noted.

According to the press service, Namangan Province has attracted $2 billion in foreign direct investment since the beginning of 2026. Working alongside partners from China, Turkey, India, and Russia, the region is commissioning 20 new industrial facilities worth a combined $1.8 billion.

These facilities will generate 6,500 jobs and introduce the production of over 30 new product types across the pharmaceutical, textile, electrical, food processing, chemical, and building materials sectors. "As a result of these projects, the provincial economy will expand by 3.6 trillion soums, exports will increase by $200 million, and budget revenues will grow by 400 billion soums," the report stated.

Furthermore, an additional 28 projects valued at $4 billion are being launched in Namangan Province. These initiatives are slated to provide a massive boost to local manufacturing, tourism, commercial shopping complexes, and residential housing.

The President emphasized that Namangan Province is home to over 1.6 million young people, describing this demographic as a vital asset for the country's socio-economic advancement. Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to the international partners involved in the project during a joint ceremony that marked both the activation of completed regional projects and the start of construction on these new industrial sites.
