By executive decree, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has posthumously honored a group of cultural figures who made monumental contributions to the development of the nation's culture, art, and literature.
The awards were granted "in recognition of the invaluable legacy left to future generations through decades of fruitful creative endeavor; their immense contribution to strengthening the spiritual foundations of our independent homeland; their role in elevating the educational, artistic, and intellectual potential of our people; their dedication to advancing culture, art, and literature; and their commitment to championing the principles of humanism, kindness, compassion, patriotism, and generosity. These posthumous honors celebrate cultural icons who have left a profound mark on the memory of the nation through their meaningful lives, high moral character, and unforgettable achievements."
