To accommodate citizens celebrating Eid al-Adha (Qurbon Hayiti), all bus routes and metro lines in Tashkent will begin operations at 4:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, according to the Ministry of Transport.
In an effort to prevent traffic congestion and guarantee road safety, authorities highly recommend that residents utilize public transit when traveling to mosque locations for the early morning Eid prayers.
This announcement follows an earlier update regarding the expansion of domestic travel options for the holiday. Between May 25 and May 31, a combined total of 28 additional domestic flights will be operated out of Tashkent to Bukhara, Termez, Urgench, and Nukus by Uzbekistan Airways, Silk Avia, and Centrum Air. These supplementary flights are scheduled to transport approximately 9,000 passengers across the country.
