During the graduation "last bell" celebrations on May 25, traffic police caught 238 minors driving cars between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, reported Zoyir Yuldashev, spokesman for the Traffic Safety Service under the Interior Ministry.

"To ensure the holiday passed without tragedy, thousands of road patrol officers were deployed on high alert near schools," Yuldashev said. "Despite this, multiple students were observed driving vehicles belonging to their parents or using rentals. Among the violators were students from the 11th, 9th, and even the 8th grade."

In a video released by the Traffic Safety Service, the father of one student caught behind the wheel was asked what prompted his son to drive to school.

"His classmates finishing the 11th grade told him to hurry up," the father explained. "He didn't wait for his uncle or for me. They kept messaging him, saying, 'Bring the sound equipment, hurry up, the school celebration is starting.'"

The Traffic Safety Service has strongly urged parents to be more vigilant and to prevent situations that could lead to a tragedy involving their children or pose a severe threat to the lives of others.
