In a major push to modernize state governance and accelerate digital transformation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates today, led by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs.

At the start of the meeting, Minister Al Gergawi extended warm fraternal greetings to the Uzbek head of state on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

A Tech-Driven Blueprint to Dismantle Bureaucracy

The bilateral talks centered on the aggressive rollout of a joint 10-point roadmap designed to overhaul Uzbekistan’s civil service frameworks. Central to this strategy is the integration of UAE-tested operational models to slash administrative red tape. To ensure seamless execution, a dedicated project management office has already been established and has begun oversight of the administrative updates.

The leaders heavily emphasized tech-focused educational milestones, highlighting that the Five Million AI Prompters initiative has already crossed the one-million-participant threshold. The program aims to equip the next generation of Uzbek professionals with cutting-edge artificial intelligence skills to future-proof the local economy.

Rewarding Institutional Performance

The diplomatic meeting serves as a prelude to a formal awards ceremony scheduled under the "Evaluating the Performance of Government Agencies" project. Both nations expressed strong intent to scale this evaluation mechanism beyond national ministries, expanding future audits to include regional and local municipal governments.

Looking ahead, the partnership will expand into the cultural and socioeconomic spheres. President Mirziyoyev and Minister Al Gergawi reviewed frameworks for a joint nationwide reading and literacy movement, while formalizing agreements to launch youth empowerment forums and co-author long-term strategic development blueprints for Uzbekistan's future economy.
