Today, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Russian president Vladimir Putin. The two leaders discussed pressing issues regarding the further development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, focusing on the practical implementation of previous high-level agreements.

They noted with satisfaction the productive contacts taking place at various levels. Interparliamentary, business, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges continue to develop actively.

Trade turnover is showing steady growth, having increased by 23 percent since the beginning of the year. The implementation of major joint cooperation projects also continues across industry, energy, transport, and other priority sectors, including initiatives at the regional level.

The two leaders concluded by reviewing the schedule for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
