Uzbekistan will experience unstable weather on Friday and through the weekend, Uzhydromet said. Most provinces of the country will see rain, with heavy downpours and thunderstorms expected in some areas. No precipitation is forecast for Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm province, while the Bukhara and Navoiy provinces will see only brief, localized showers.
Rain will move through the foothills and mountainous areas, turning heavy at times with accompanied thunderstorms. This brings a risk of flash floods and mudslides, and hail is also possible in isolated spots.
In Tashkent, rain is expected on Friday afternoon, with a chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures will hover between +22°C and +24°C.
Saturday, May 23, will bring mostly dry weather, though a brief shower and thunderstorm are forecast by evening. Daytime highs will rise to +25°C to +27°C.
On Sunday, May 24, expect short-lived rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures will peak between +22°C and +24°C during the day, dropping to +15°C to +18°C at night.
Winds will blow from the west at 3–8 m/s, occasionally gusting up to 10–12 m/s.
