President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed a series of proposals aimed at providing socio-economic support to vulnerable segments of the population in celebration of Eid al-Adha.

In our country, safeguarding human interests, providing robust social protection, and fostering an atmosphere of kindness, compassion, and solidarity are core pillars of state policy. These principles shine brightest during the sacred holiday of Eid al-Adha, which embodies the noble values deeply rooted in our people.

The presentation outlined initiatives jointly developed by the Muslim Board, the National Agency for Social Protection, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Mahalla Association, and the Vaqf Public Charitable Foundation.

These organizations have designed a large-scale relief campaign to mark the holiday.

Specifically, the plan includes funding critical surgeries for 10,000 children suffering from severe or disabling illnesses. It will also cover medical check-ups, treatment, and surgeries for 2,300 patients diagnosed with cancer and hematological disorders. Additionally, it ensures liver and kidney transplant surgeries for at least 350 individuals.

Special attention will also be given to supporting children in need of social protection. Plans are underway to deposit $200 into the savings accounts of more than 8,000 children, including orphans, children left without parental care, and the children of servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the borders of the country.

Additionally, to ensure comfortable conditions for worshipers, modern ablution facilities will be constructed, reconstructed, or renovated at 500 mosques across the country. Local cemeteries will also undergo extensive beautification and maintenance.

Essential food packages will be provided to families receiving state welfare, as well as to lonely elderly citizens, seniors living alone, and individuals with disabilities who require external care.

These extensive initiatives will be fully funded by an allocation of 690 billion soums to the Vaqf Public Charitable Foundation.

Alongside these measures, charitable banquets will be hosted for socially vulnerable communities, and traditional holiday sacrifices (qurban) will be performed at sacred pilgrimage sites and religious educational institutions.

The president emphasized that all activities aimed at supporting those in need, treating the sick, and providing aid to children must be organized with absolute transparency and targeted precision. He then issued specific directives to the responsible officials to ensure these standards are met.
