The Government of Uzbekistan has officially approved the regulations for organizing and hosting the Alisher Navoi International Uzbek Language Olympiad, the Ministry of Justice said.

The competition is open to Uzbek compatriots living abroad on a voluntary basis. Eligible participants include school students aged 14 to 18, who can compete either individually or as part of a team.

The International Olympiad will be held annually before October and will consist of two rounds: a standardized test and a written essay. Participants can join the competition in both in-person (offline) and virtual (online) formats. National teams from foreign countries may include up to six students and one team leader, with a maximum of three teams permitted from any single country.

The winners and runners-up of the Olympiad will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals, alongside official diplomas and commemorative gifts.
