On May 6, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić. At the start of the meeting, the Minister Marko Đurić conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The parties reviewed prospects for further deepening their multifaceted partnership, with a focus on delivering on the agreements reached at the summit level in October 2025. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the active engagement taking place between their governments, parliaments, and business communities, as well as the growing people-to-people and humanitarian exchanges.
Priority was given to boosting trade turnover and developing a comprehensive cooperation program across key sectors, including engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, information technology, agriculture, tourism, and more.
To advance the economic agenda, both sides agreed to hold the first session of the Intergovernmental Commission in Belgrade this year.
Discussions also covered cooperation in the areas of organized labor migration, culture, and education. The parties exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues and outlined the schedule for upcoming high-level meetings.
