A tragic traffic accident involving kindergarten children occurred in the Nurata district of the Navoi province. The incident took place on the morning of May 5. A 34-year-old woman, who managed one of the district’s family-run kindergartens, was transporting 13 children and her own three-month-old infant in a Daewoo Matiz.
While she was picking the children up from their homes to take them to the kindergarten, she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and overturn. The woman died as a result of the crash, and the children sustained various degrees of injuries. Currently, one child is reported to be in a coma, while eight others have been transported to the provincial center hospital for treatment.
According to the source, both the woman and her husband had been driving for years without ever obtaining a driver's license. The children were reportedly transported back and forth in this manner on a regular basis, and notably, none of the parents had ever raised an objection to the practice.
