Uzbekistan is set to introduce short-term paid paternity leave for working men, allowing them to support their spouses and care for other children following the birth of a child.
MPs have approved these amendments to the Labor Code in the first reading. In addition to parental leave, the new regulations establish legal protections against harassment and violence in the workplace.
The legislation also includes provisions for granting additional leave to individuals who have been victims of such actions.
