The new passenger terminal at Namangan International Airport is scheduled to open in late June. This update was provided today by the Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev during the 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank Board of Governors in Samarkand.

"Namangan is almost there... I expect the [passenger] terminal to be ready by the end of June," he stated.

According to the Deputy Minister, private partner investments in the project totaled approximately $70 million, covering roughly half of the overall project cost.

In 2024, the Namangan province administration announced that the airport’s management would be transitioned to a public-private partnership (PPP) model. An agreement was signed with a company called Namangan Air Solution, though no official details regarding a public tender process were released at the time.

Namangan Air Solution was started in Namangan on May 26, 2023. The company specializes in air transport services and was established with a share capital of 2 million soums.

Sardor Khusainov is listed as the director of the company, while the sole owner is ME CA Overseas Investments DMCC LLC, a firm registered in the United Arab Emirates.

In February of this year, Ilkhomjon Akbarov, the Transport Prosecutor for the Fergana province, visited the construction site to monitor progress. The project is being carried out under the Cabinet of Ministers' October 2, 2023 Steps to implement the project for the modernization and management of Namangan International Airport on the basis of a public-private partnership Resolution (the document itself is not currently available in public databases).

The construction plans were designed by Mukammal Project, with the company Atlant serving as the primary contractor under the direction of Namangan Air Solutions LLC.
