On the sidelines of the Asian Development Bank’s Board of Governors meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation led by Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power.
The talks focused on broadening the strategic partnership and expediting the implementation of ongoing joint projects.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly commended ACWA Power’s contributions as a flagship partner in Uzbekistan’s transition to "green" energy. He noted that the investment initiatives launched last December—including major solar and wind power projects—are progressing steadily and according to schedule.
During the discussion, the leaders shifted focus to future horizons for cooperation. Key topics included the construction of the New Tashkent International Airport, the establishment of a multidisciplinary medical facility in Fergana, and the launch of a state-of-the-art data center at the IT Park.
Concluding the meeting, the Saudi investors expressed their gratitude for Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms and its welcoming investment climate, reaffirming their commitment to delivering these high-impact projects on time and to the highest standards.
