A passenger fell onto the tracks at a Tashkent metro station, the metro’s press service said in a statement. The incident occurred at approximately 9:35 PM on May 2 at the Gafur Gulom station. As train No. 40 was pulled into the station, a female passenger accidentally fell onto the tracks.
The driver acted swiftly and decisively, bringing the train to an immediate emergency stop while strictly following safety protocols.
According to preliminary reports, the woman did not sustain any serious injuries. She was taken by emergency medical personnel for a full evaluation.
The metro administration added that the incident did not disrupt the transit schedule, and all trains continued to operate on time.
