A brutal murder has taken place in the town of Shirin, Sirdaryo province. The incident occurred late in the afternoon on April 29. The victim, M.S., 29, was busy with household chores at her home when the 29-year-old second wife of her husband (married via nikah) stormed into the house. The assailant, identified as N.Kh., stabbed M.S. and her two young daughters before fleeing the scene. The children were aged five and three.

Tragically, the mother and her eldest daughter, Sh.S., died at the scene. The three-year-old daughter, I.S., was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and remains in intensive care.

The victim's relatives shared that M.S. had moved from Bekabad, Tashkent province, to Sirdaryo after her marriage.

"That woman had repeatedly threatened my son-in-law, saying she would kill his wife. He told her she wouldn't be able to do it. Now look what happened - I’ve lost my daughter and my granddaughter," the victim's father lamented. "My daughter had four children. Her eight-year-old son and a 20-day-old infant are now left behind. My granddaughter in the hospital is in grave condition. I beg the relevant authorities to grant us custody of the surviving children."

The victim’s niece added, "My aunt was doing laundry at home that day. That woman attacked her with a knife. Hearing the screams, the two little girls ran out of the house, and she stabbed them as well."

Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General, confirmed the incident. A criminal case has been launched by the Sirdaryo province department for the investigation of extremely serious crimes under Article 97, Part 2 (a, c, f sub-clauses) of the Criminal Code, pertaining to willful homicide. The suspect, N.Kh., has been taken into custody.
