Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on November 17-18, a statement of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey website said.
It is expected that Erdogan will visit Samarkand, where the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov is buried.
The Turkish leader will also hold talks with the Interim President and the Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two leaders will exchange views on Turkish-Uzbek relations as well as regional and international developments.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s last visit to Uzbekistan dates back to December 18-20, 2003 when he served as the Prime Minister of Turkey.
