By the end of the Q1 of 2026, the average gross monthly wage in Uzbekistan reached 6,825,000 soums, marking a 17.4% increase compared to the same period last year, the National Statistics Committee said in a report.

A provincial breakdown shows that the highest gross average salaries were recorded in Tashkent city (11,684,000 soums), Navoi (8,453,000 soums), and the Tashkent province (6,169,000 soums). Conversely, the lowest earnings were found in Kashkadarya (4,665,000 soums), Surkhandarya (4,724,000 soums), and Fergana (5,019,000 soums).

The most significant salary growth occurred in the Namangan province (+19%), Tashkent city (+18.8%), and Jizzakh (+17.3%). Notably, Tashkent city and the Navoi province were the only two administrative areas where gross wages exceeded the national average; in all other provinces, earnings fell below this benchmark to varying degrees.

The wealth gap between the capital and the provinces is widening once again. Specifically, the disparity between the highest-paying area (Tashkent) and the lowest (Kashkadarya) has reached a factor of 2.5.
