As of 2025, Uzbekistan’s marriage stability index stands at 175.6 per mille, meaning there are approximately 175 divorces for every 1,000 marriages.

According to analysis by the Research Institute of Family and Gender, this figure is low by international standards. The data suggests that the divorce rate in Uzbekistan remains "significantly lower" than in many other countries.

For comparison, the marriage stability index (measured in per mille) is 642.7 in Moldova, 431.9 in Azerbaijan, 328.2 in Kazakhstan, and 289.6 in Kyrgyzstan.

"The analysis found that Uzbekistan’s divorce rate is considerably lower than international rates. This reflects the high priority placed on family values in our society and the overall stability of marriages," the report added.

A provincial breakdown shows that marriage stability remains highest in the Kashkadarya, Khorezm, and Surkhandarya provinces. Conversely, the highest relative rates of divorce were observed in Tashkent city, Sirdarya, and Tashkent province.
