The Mirzo-Ulugbek district has become the fourth administrative area in Tashkent to launch a situational center and implement the Smart District platform. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the district mayor’s office on Thursday to inspect the new facility.
Previously, roughly 30 organizations—covering public safety, transport, social support, utilities, and the financial and banking sectors—operated in isolation, each focused solely on its own niche. The lack of a unified system made it significantly harder to address citizens' grievances promptly, leading to wasted time and excessive red tape, the presidential press service reported.
The Smart District platform is designed to analyze, detect, and resolve local issues in real time. According to the report, the system enables continuous online communication with all mahalla (neighborhood) representatives, ensuring officials stay updated on the current situation at all times.
Integrated into the platform is the Safe District system, which is dedicated to monitoring offenses and maintaining public order.
A digital map of business entities will utilize AI to forecast tax revenues and improve collection rates. Another AI-driven system, AI Davomat, is designed to track unjustifiable school absences and prevent child neglect.
These platforms have reportedly already been launched in the Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, and Almazar districts. The president has now ordered the new system to be implemented across all remaining districts of the capital.
He instructed provincial governors, prosecutors, and heads of internal affairs, security services, and tax authorities to visit the Mirzo-Ulugbek district to study this successful model.
Outside, the fence surrounding the administration building has been removed, and a small, landscaped park has been created in its place, where the head of state planted a tree.
