Torrential rains triggered flash floods in Gallaorol district of the Jizzakh province, though emergency services confirm that no casualties or significant damage have been reported.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident occurred around 9:15 PM on April 5, following heavy downpours in the mountainous and hilly terrain of the Quytosh urban-type settlement. The resulting floodwaters followed their natural drainage paths, flowing safely through the landscape without impacting residential areas.
Authorities have stated that the situation remains under full control. Experts noted that such flash floods are a frequent occurrence during the spring months, particularly in highland provinces. Consequently, residents are urged to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to official weather advisories and safety warnings.
