Starting April 22, a new regulation in Uzbekistan mandates that the phone number used for mobile apps must be registered in the user's own name and match their personal identification data.
Under these new rules, a user's mobile number must be linked to their unique Personal Identification Number (JSHSHIR). If the records do not match, users will be unable to register for apps or link their bank cards. Those affected by such discrepancies will be notified via SMS.
Furthermore, if you are currently using a mobile app or bank card linked to a number registered under someone else's name, access to these services will be restricted after the deadline. Experts strongly advise to either officially register their current numbers in their own names or re-link their banking and mobile services to a personal number to avoid service interruptions.
