Starting April 1, Uzbekistan will begin creating "green walls" in Surkhandarya and Syrdarya provinces to prevent dust storms, as part of the Presidential decree on the "Clean Air" project. Suitable trees and shrubs will be selected based on local conditions, with specific planting schemes and quantities determined for these areas.

In Tashkent, work begins April 1 on two major arboretums: a 250-hectare site at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (Mirzo Ulugbek district) and an 83-hectare area near Green University, including parts of Kibray district. Additionally, a new public park will be set up by year-end on 4.36 hectares of the former city oncology center on Bogiston Street in the Chilanzar district.

By the end of 2026, Tashkent will feature four new artificial lakes or reservoirs. Starting this April, construction will begin on at least one, alongside up to 15 fountains at state universities and at least one fountain in every district of the capital. Nationally, a composting and mulching system for fallen leaves will be implemented to improve soil fertility and moisture retention. To address cross-border environmental issues, a consultative meeting with the government of Kazakhstan is planned to coordinate joint actions.
