Law enforcement authorities in the Andijan province have uncovered three underground laboratories manufacturing counterfeit medicines, the State Security Service (DXX) said.
Over 60,000 units of drugs across 122 different types, with a total value of 1.1 billion soums, were seized as evidence.
Preliminary findings suggest that the raw materials were illegally smuggled from Kyrgyzstan. Some of the drugs were found in a semi-finished state, while others had already been processed.
Reportedly, these medicinal products may pose a serious threat to human health. Investigative proceedings are currently underway regarding the identified facts.
